Check out the common questions we get
From clay to glaze, to firing, to classes, to gallery shows, to equipment repair, we've got the answers. If you don't see your question answered here, please come in, or give us a call during our store hours.
What is the difference between Low, Mid, and High Fire?
So many degrees Fahrenheit!
Most hobbyist potters use clay and glaze in the Mid-Fire range, called Cone 5-6. To avoid disaster, you'll need to know the Cone of the clay, glaze, and firing for your project. Come on in, we'll talk it through.
"What kind of clay do I need?"
You can find all of our clay here on our site and on Aisle 1 in store! We carry dozens of clay types and can order many more for your needs. If you need clay for a class you're taking, let us know what school you attend. If you're working on a special project, we'll ask you more about it and help you choose the best fit.
