Raku Firing: Specialty Workshop with Freddy Santana

Join us for a specialty workshop with a favorite local artist and educator, Freddy Santana!

Experience the unique and exciting process of Raku Firing, including pulling your work out of the kiln, red hot, creating colorful metallic finishes.  

9AM - 3PM (on selected date in the drop down menu): Students will bring up to 3 pieces of already bisqued work.  The day will begin with hands on instruction on various glazing techniques (including naked raku and horsehair) and a verbal overview of the firing process, with firing following. Glazes and brushes are provided.  

What to bring:

Students will bring up to 3 pieces of already bisqued work.  Maximum dimensions apply, call for details. 

Light snacks and beverages are provided and students are welcome to bring their own.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Alpha Fired Arts reserves the right to cancel classes. If a workshop needs to be canceled, we will contact everyone enrolled and offer the option of transferring to another available time, or receive a refund. If a member wishes to withdraw from a workshop, we need 7 days notice prior to the first class to receive a full refund. Withdrawals occurring within 6 days of a workshop, will receive a refund of 50 percent of the total class fee. There are no refunds on the date of the workshop and beyond.
